While Staying in Bangkok(Sukhumvit) this year, we came across Bhagat Tarachand,
which is a new Restaurant and is Indian by Food Serving.

Looking for Indian Food and getting into BTC was like your wish come True.
Food was awesome with very Friendly Restaurant Staff.

A Meal for two Should not cost more than 1000 B.
Ambiance is ok, Not great types.
Overall a good Restaurant.

Ok.. If you are Vying for pure Desi food, want it quickly , want a decent seating with AC in a Paush area Bengali Sweets is the place :-)

We got a chance to taste their Alu Tikki, Chole Bhature, Mock Tails, Dosa Idlys and Chats.

It was all by chance as we din get seating in Pind Baluchi :-)

The Visit Allthough was surprising especially with the Quick Service reasonable Cost and Decent Ambiance.

Since then Bengali Sweets has become a regular place to eat. Anybosy visting South Ex should definately try this ;)

Mongolian Barbeque Kzoo !

While being at US and picking things from here and there I came across "Mongolian Barbeque".

The very name reminds one of Chengez Khan that's it ;-).

I went in without thinking of what kind of food would be inside.A warm welcome by the attendee's and then we went to the place where in we need to select the quality and quantity of raw material that we want in our dish..it includes everything vegetables/spices/sauces..it is like you reap what you sow..also all of this has to be in one Bowl :).

After selecting these we went to the Kitchen or the BBQ place. this is where they grill your raw materials into a full fledged Barbecue dish.They take special care if you are vegetarian.

Once the dish is done you can go back to your seat and eat the dish ( which you chose) with unlimited Rice/Tortillas :).

Experiencing all this made me forget how the food/dish taste's.

It was the way it was served and cooked that too my heart :)

Also considering the fact that all this was not a expensive affair ~8$ ( cheaper than the indian dishes ) which are nowhere less than ~14$.

Overall great ambiance good food "innovative cooking" "excellent service" A place worth visiting

Unlike Delhi the food at Pind baluch looks like , the same being served in a village ambience. but it doesn't taste that well fo rme.

Near to "Bikanerwala" outlet in sector -29 Gurgaon.
I will say one of the best ambiance in NCR region and I think that is the reason they charge more, cosidering the food to be average.

Piece of wood kept on your table would be the menu, .They serve veg as well as non-veg food. . They have some not-so-common items available like - Kurkuri Bhindi, Aam Panna etc to name a few.The taste of the food has suited every pallette that I personally know off. They serve liquor / beer as well. I am a non-drinker so no review on this part.

The Price: As I said earlier, this is not an expensive eating joint. This can be compared to Dana Choga in terms of prices and value for money. In groupf of 3-4 people, a veg dinner / lunch would cost around Rs 150-200 per head, while the carnivores may need to shell our another Rs 50 - 75 per head. No advice for drunkards for reasons already cited. Don’t forget to add the Rs 10 you spend on the parking and some sundry expenses if your kid finds some street vendor selling toys amusing.

Pros:
1. Ok food (Both veg as well as non veg)
2. Good Ambience
3. Well groomed and polite staff.
4. Very affordable prices.
5. Sometimes, good music.
6. No intrusion of privacy

Cons:
1. Relatively slow service - maybe due to the staff diverting some of their attention to their attirte.
2. Presence of slight smoke everywhere as the tandoors are open for public view.
3. It does not have separate alchol and smoking sections.
4. The road near the restaurant are in a bad shape - God forbid if you visit during monsoons.

The best thing i noted here was the carriers which you can unlock from a queue by putting in a coin of 1 Euro ..unless and until one places the carrier back in the queue he/she doesn't get his/her euro back so an effective way of keeping things in line.

It is operated at 3-4 Places in Berlin Mitte, OrnainStasse etc are the two I know...
The day i went there first thing i tasted was a samosa which costed me 2Euros :-0
And then I had a good Naan , Pulav Gobhi Alu and Paneer,, Jan Preferrd a Lamb..
Overall it costed 35 Euros + .. which was bit on the Expensive side..They Side by Side also operate MIRCHI . Owner I gues is Bans & Bans.

Aral was the place where i usually used to come across while going and coming back from office.\

This is a petrol filling station but usually has a store along since i was on my foot so this served as a on stop place for getting my phone's recharged having some burgers.. buying some chocolates a Drink etc .It seemed like a chain alike HP or BP in India along with a store .There was this FAT lady who used to allways give me burger free and even though she couldn't talk in english she used to try her best to sommunicate.. God Bless her !

Ok Last year the year 2008 One of my friend Jan Winter took me to a restaurant called as Maximillian at Berlin Which was kind of a starnage place.. as it ws a typical german restaurant and along with that was specialised in Bavarian Food. He ordered something called as Schweinshaxe mit Semmelknödel und Sauerkraut which he said was the lower stomach part of Pig :-) It was around 9.99 Euros along with a glass of beer. If you're looking to grab a super quick bite, then Fassos is your best bet. The yummy kathi rolls available with different fillings are sure to get your tastebuds tingling.
Their USP, “Feast on the Run”, is right on the mark, considering you can grab a bite within 10 minutes and more importantly, within 60 bucks.
The Fassos outlet in Aundh is frequented by students (since the rolls are very filling) and foreigners (since the rolls are not very spicy). They have a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items to choose as fillings for the rolls. The rolls are prepared by roasting the kebabs and spices on a tawa. They are then wrapped in a yummy soft and thick roti. My favourite part is the green chutney they serve with the rolls. It adds just the right tang. The sizes are just right to fill small eaters at lunch.
They also have combo meals like biryani and basmati rice with kababs. For those not in the mood for desi food, the place also offers burgers (Though I would not recommend the Fish Filet Burger).
What's best is that nothing on the menu costs more than 120 bucks.
So, next time you happen to be in
Aundh at tea time, don't forget to grab a roll or, even better, pack one for dinner. The packaging is innovative and makes the roll easy to slip into your bag without fearing a mess. It even stays hot. Now, how's that for a great snack?

QDOBA - Mexican US Chain !

ok.. so here Iam Updating my retsaurant review.. US in general is not only about KFC McD Wendy's BurgerKing or PizzaHut. The Mexican Food here is quiet popular too, I happened to land in one during my visit to Kalamazoo.The QDOBA where i tried was on Westenedge Avenue.

This one is called as QDOBA .. its a take away type food chain where in you can find items like a Burrito, Fajita or a Gumbo. Nw since I am a vegeterian person I tried Veg version of all these dishes in couple of my visits..

Burrito is no more than a Veg Role the major difference is in Shape where in they wrap the tortila(Chapati) around the stuff( Rice, Sauces,Vegetables etc) in a rectangular shape ours you see is a Cylindrical one :). Gumbo on the other side is Rajma Chawal.,, not as delicious as the one we get in India but ya anyone feeling like eating Rajma Chawal can give Gumbo a try. Along with it they give you an option of unlimited Fountain drinks for I guess $ 1.99.. On an overall sclae a worth trying restaurant especially when you are getting a chance to try different cuisine.

The Rates are anywhere in between 5.99$ - 8.99$.

A2B BTM is located Opposite to Udupi Garden 16th Main BTM and is beside the Petol Bunk.
Looking at the name one thinks that A2B is a typical South Indian Restaurant,May be it was true some years back.
But now A2B is a typical Cosmopolitan Restaurant where in it tries to serve all types of Food. Located on 2 Floors The restaurant has exotic north delights to offer apart from the South Indian Dishes.

The Ambiance Gives you a Complete Indian Look wherein you see Marwadi’s[People from Rajasthan] , Kannadigas[People from Karnataka] serving typical North Indian delicacies like Chole Bhature.

The ground Floor of A2B serves all the Sweets that range from Kaju Katli’s to Gulab Jamuns and some of South Indian Dishes.

The First Floor is a Restaurant with beautiful colour combinations of the Chairs, Tables and the Dishes.A2B looks like a Good place to Hang Out especially for Couples.
But this is not the truth,especially when you see the location J.

What you find here is more of families who want a Outing or want to taste something other than usual Ghar Ka khana.

A2B is a self service Restaurant where in you need to buy some tokens beforehand, the Token number will be displayed on the LCD screen once your number appears,the LCD Screen is situated exactly on the forehead of Service Counter’s.

You can find Dishes Like Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaaji, Different Type of Dosas, Idli’s , paranthas etc. The food was quiet Decent, the pricing was Ok too, Service was avaerage considering the fact that there is huge crowd to eat at A2B on weekends.
Ambiance was super cool.Good Music. Location too is great considering the fact the BTM is the hub for all Software professionals.

Word Of Caution : If you enjoy crowds, explore A2B BTM on Weekends, orelse try visiting the place on Weekdays.

Sweets : Usually we have very expensive Sweets here in Bangalore, A2B is not an exception,expensive sweets but the Taste and Quality is decent.
I’ll Rate A2B ***1/2, not because of Food but because of other factors like Ambiance, Location and Pricing.

This is a chain of restaurants and they say that they are located in U.S too !
Located on the second left from Main Hosur Highway towards Satyam, This restaurant has lot to offer.
Awesome Ambiance.. The Ambiance actually makes you feel as if you are sitting in some thaeare and yes the Glasses around give a feel of huge space..but that is JHALAWA.. hehe
Good Place to hang out with Team's and when you want your project manager to shed some money especially when you dont have any other option around.
Food is quiet Average,the service is nice,the Crockery via which they serve excited me the most.
The beat I have seen around may Be gramin has some capabilities of the same Calliber.
Anyhow the food or the taste of food is primarily south Indian..more of Andhra Spices..the Non-Veg they serve ranges from Birds to prawns the Spices they used were a heavy dose for me.
North Indian dishes.. well Malgudi Days isn't the best place to check out them for.
Avg north Indian Food. On an Overall i'll rate Malgudi *** only because of their Service and ambiance.The price they charge don't equate with my Taste.May be for some it could be the Best Place.But the review I'am writing here is on my personal experience.
Good place for Team Hangouts but not a good place for Family Dinner.
Yes, a uniqueness I found in malgudi Days was the After meal Servings. i mean they have somehting unique to be served other than the usual saunf and mishri.
Overall.. not a bad place to try it once.

The Road to IIM Bangalore from BTM.
The Road ..yes it does have name of several eating outlets associated with it.
Recent Addition has been RAGA,When one hears of RAGA what one is reminded of is that a musical Saga, but yes this has more to offer.
RAGA is located in the same lanewhere we have MAST KALANDAR and POT LUCK.
RAGA is the name of a restaurant Sino-Indien Speciality which does some serve Super delicacies,especially if you are a Non vegeterian.The momos and other north Indian Speciallity is quiet ordinary when you compare it with other options available around Bangalore.
But Yes the Non Veg Items especially the Fish and the other's are worth trying.
The Ambiance is good.
The Dusky environment along with the music does give u a sino feeling.
The Service and the Waiters were lousy may be the things are not as beautifully organised as you have in other established restaurants.
Overall .. ***
Ambiance and NON Veg were good to see !
Service and Other Food were Quiet Ordinary.
A Family Restaurant where you can give a shot.

Go to FORUM and if incase you are feeling hungry,try the famous Food Court by the name of TRANSIT !
The Food Lounge has everything right from Snacks, Coffee, Dosas and Idli to Special Sea foods like Thai Specialisations and Cheicken kababs.With the Typical FOOD COURT environment like any other FOOD Court in any MALL, Transit does not offer any thing special on Ambiance Side.
But yes some food items are exotic and unique which lure you to visit TRANSIT again and again.
one can find NORTH INDIAN food too, the negative side however for TRANSIT remains the price, my experience says that the Food Court at TRANSIT is a bit over priced, especially when u hear a normal paratha costing you 100 bucks.
The Service too is a bit time consuming,
Check Prawn Butterflies at Seafood Stall, Chicken kabab and chicken wings, Crab and the Nachos at the Mexican outlet were best deal for me.
So incase you want to taste some exotic sea food if you are at THE FORUM MALL,
do visit TRANSIT.

Sahib Sindh Sultan as the name Suggests !
Royal Treatment Royal food Royal service.
Located inside THE FORUM MALL, Koramangla bangalore,this place is a must for all people looking out for eating joints in and around bangalore.
The Restaurant has different entrance but houses a pub by the name of FIRANGI PANI with a different entry door.
I had a priviledge to visit this place a couple of times during my stay at bangalore.
you cannot ignore the ambiance, the moment you enter inside.the RAIL DIBBAS and all the paintings does give you a different feeling alltogether.
Hmmm.. for starters apart from the usual Panneer items i will suggest people to have a try at Kathis of SSS. they are simply awesome.
The menu items are same as any Sophisticated North Indian Restaurant apart from attractive suffixes and prefixes which you find everywhere nowadays.
Overall the Quality Of food is Good, with excellent service around couple this with courteous attendants. yes you can try a glass of wine apart from the usual drinks and usual food items.
Overall a nice Dinner shouldn't cost more than 1500-2000/- for a couple.
Try Once and relish the Ambiance.

Yes the name is pretty much synonymous with someone who cares. In this case it is the food,

the Tiffin food !

Located near Indira nagar crossing.. Papas tiffin is one of very few north indian tiffin providers in Bangalore.

You taste it once, you will come again this is what the owner says, and yes he is true which i realised after cherishing their tiffin box.

The combo was excellent,taste superflous and the price nominal. I ordered a veg meal .. it turned out to be a heavy meal ;-).

Aloo ki sabzi was perfect northie type,Daal reminded me of maa and the Rajma Chawal reminded me of those Food Van's we have their in north which give us their special rajma chawal.

add to it the Kheer.........wah ... perfect i said !

And all these when compared to price left nothing to justify.

Verdict :5*

Advice: would surely suggest people in and around koramangla to have a try.

They do take orders for Non Veg meals, so all those interested in Chicken can ponder upon that option too..

Perfect wen it comes to food..
Very Tasti Sabzi and Dal with a beautiful blend of masalas tadka and ghee.
You go any day and i bet anybody has to wait atleast 30 minutes to get a seat.
A perfect Dhabha lookalike.. i'l rather say it looks like a bhutiyaa haveli.
Below averae ambiance.
Huh..... but but the food is above any 5 star resti especially for all northies.
The Ma ki dali vith desi ghee ka tadka is like yummmmm..
Parantha's too are good,their recipe is like less spicy heavy taste and too much desi ghee!
The kheer is excellent it reminds you of mummy ke hath ki kheer...
And yes the heaviest dose is that doubled chaach ka glass...
perfect punjabi Overdose ........ loved that..

given a chance nobody should miss bobby da dhabha !
Money.. is peanuts when you compare the quality and quantity of food..

It's more of a mess as the one you have in your hostel's than a resti..
Again a complete north indian mess!
My Initial days at bangalore found me survivng on Kataria's Dinner..
As far as menu goes..
I found there paranths's interesting ...
Believe me they are heavy, Allo ka paranthas are superb !
the size, the stuff and their crispy taste does remind you of those road side dhaba's in north !
They serve you Paratha's of Aloo, Gobi,Panner and Methi..
costing anywhere between 12-25 bucks
A Thali comprising of a Dal Sabzi chapati's pickle costs you anywhere around 25-30 bucks
Apart from this they do serve panner bhurji and a couple of other dishes ...
Drinks.. A glass of chach is what you can ask for, apart from this lassi is also good
Nothing great in Ambiance..
The mess is opposite BTM Bus stand !
Overall.. a place to visit whenver you remember our northie dhaba's !
you do get true Value for your money both in quantity and quality !

Staying in BTM one cannot miss Ghar ka khaana.
I have been staying in BTM for more than 2 years noe..
a regular tiffin subscriber of Ghar Ka Khaana !
Ghar Ka Khaana ..the Khana here is synonymous with the food being served ..
The resti is based upon buffet system ..
You can eat as much as you want ... ghar ka khana won't stop serving u unless you say No !
you get all the achar's chatni's , mast garam phulka's with a subzi,dal ,papad,chatni,achar,curd,soup,salad which make up your thali complete homemade lookalike.,
I must say any north indian missing food in bangalore should visit Ghar ka Khaana at least once.
The buffet (unlimited) thali costs you 40/- bucks..couple this with the quality of food...
Awesome deal !
Tiffin based system here costs you around 50/- per thali...
which is also worthy !

Mirch Masala @ BTM !

Mirch masala.. again a startup from some Punjabi guy...

I have visited Mirch masala BTM. Ambiance wise.. it's ok.. nothin in comparison to Mast Kalandar or Chandni Chowk.Food wise it reaches to some expectation but again they are not like 10 on 10 types. We had heard about this North Indian joint and thought of trying it out one day. We asked for the less spicy Paneer gravy and the waiter suggested us Paneer Tikka Masala.... we were like "less spicy?????". We finally decided to go with Palak Paneer..we thought this would be less spicy.. but alas.. they lived upto their name.. it was full of 'Mirch' and 'Masala' :( The quantity was also less compared to the price they charge.. considering it isn't a big restaurant as such..

The name Chandni Chowk brings to mind the flea markets of Old Delhi, a shoppers' paradise, where people hunt out great bargains. But the Chandni Chowk I refer to is a food place in Bangalore -- a restaurant which offers a variety of north Indian food. It is located in the upmarket area of Koramangala, just next to the National Games Village. From the outside, you may mistake it for a fly-by-night dance bar. With an 'aesthetic' appeal like that many people would not want to venture inside. But you will be in for a surprise the moment you enter. It is a quait restaurant in Koramangala, which tries to recreate the Dhaba feel for the noveau rich. (Atleast it feels like). Decorated with a thatched roof and stone pathways, the Chandni Chowk restaurant offers some of the best North Indian food in the Southern Bangalore India. The ambience is really appealing; it is decorated with bandhini dupattas and other colourful wall hangings and well-lit to make the place look nice and bright. Although the stone slabs on which you sit may feel a bit cold initially, the smell of the simmering Punjabi spices quickly awakens your taste buds. Menus are made out of a silk cloth held between the embroidery rings.Music-wise, you will probably get to hear a bhangra remix of the Summer of 69, which blares from a small speaker, kept inside a mutka (a big mud pot). A large selection in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Nice beverages, especially "Kullud Wali Chai" a must try. Being a foodie myself, my favourite is the Chicken Reshmi Kebab and Jal Jeera to begin with. And for the main course I go on to have Half Butter Chicken and Stuffed Kheema Parathas. A Half Butter Chicken will fill up two people easily. Don't miss out on the authentic Dal Makhani which is a treat for your taste buds. After about 20 min, the waiter walks in with the Roti and Sabzi, we ask why not the soup and starter, and right behind him, another guy walks in with the rest of the mail. the whole thing is dumped and they walk away. Later the chai comes, a real nice one too. Just right for the Indian Palate, Kadak and sweet, with a dollop of cream on the top. As for dessert, order a Gulab Jamun and you will be happy that you had a wonderful, yet simple meal. The icing on the cake is the bill. For two people your bill should be around Rs 400 only and this includes a drink, appetisers, the main course and a sweet dish! This is a great place for dinner. Mast Kalandar , Bangalore Mast Kalandar Bangalore is located at 5 locations across Bangalore.. I have visited 3 of them 1.> BTM 1st Stage 2.> Bannergghatta Road 3.> Koramangala Mast kalandar is basically started by a "retired",bored of work IT duo/couple. Orange and yellow interiors to the squeaky clean ambiance to the yummy, fresh food emphasises their tag-line “Eat Happy”. Their Food hmmmm... Parathas are Mast Kalandar’s speciality - and you can get anything from the usual alu, gobi to more exotic healthy sprouts, fully-loaded mixed veggie, and a Chinese-inspired paratha. Each paratha combo plate comes with 2 parathas, a dal, a raitha, a salad and a pickle. The food can be slightly spicy but is absolutely yummy. The dal, raitha and picke vary depending on the type of paratha you order. For the rice-eaters, there is Biryani with a Twist, a knockout rice-kadhi combo and rajma-chawal. Don’t forget to order the delicious mango lassi to wash down your food with. I have tried the desserts here only once - the moong dal halwa was heavenly. you'll have mast lassi to pindi chole ... Hlak fulka to punjabi tadka... overall a cheap, affordable and worth to visit place.. Especially for all those northies who are craving for north indian food.
